Before bed, Lil’ K said quite seriously and sincerely, “Mama, I’m never too busy to spend time with you.”
My heart melted into a great big puddle and tears welled up in my eyes.
I hope she’ll still be saying that in 10 years or so.

Who is Champuru?
Aloha, I'm Donna, known everywhere on the Internet as "Champuru." I was born and raised in Hawaii. I'm a Christian. I'm married to my best friend of 18 years, we struggled with infertility and successfully conceived via IVF (and by the grace of God!) in 2008. I resigned from my coveted "secure" government job to be a work-at-home mom to my 3-year-old daughter. Using my degree in Information Technology and the skills obtained in the marketplace, I started my own business. Now, I work from home, taking clients on a part-time basis, working in my PJ's while the little one sleeps. Life isn't always easy, but it's all good.

Hi Donna,
Lil’ K is soo precious. I wanna just give her a BIG HUG! Yes, I hope she still the same 10 years + from now. These kids now days, once they get to middle/high school and they have their own mind set, esp. when friends are around (peer pressure) and entitlement issues. My daughter had an attitude (I know) which started in middle school. My son no attitude problem, but once he started driving, OH NO. at 18 he had is own auto insurance, then he slowly realized. We told them they are NOT ENTITLED to anything. Their friend(s) had brand new or newer model vehicles. Check out Mililani High school parking lot (upper level), BMWs, Lexus, Infinitis, Honda EX, etc. its not the teachers, its the students.
Take Care, Linda
