I’m sure DAKINE wouldn’t appreciate me calling it that, but this oversized shoulder bag is a perfect Mommy Bag. Now that Baby Champuru is a toddler (18 months), I don’t feel like I need to haul our entire house on my back like a mountaineering Sherpa. I decided that it was time to ditch the diaper bag and invest in a larger purse that can accommodate a diaper, baby wipes, and some snacks along with my usual junk (iPhone, wallet, camera, hand sanitizer, makeup, hairbrush, kleenex, compact umbrella, garden gnome, etc).
I bought this bag from Bikewerx (Hubby’s favorite store EVER) in the Mililani Town Center. The bag is perfect. It’s large, has multiple organizer pockets and large zippered pockets on the inside and outside of the bag. The pockets make it easy to organize and find things, since a large bag can easily turn into a black hole.
Do you have a favorite Mommy Bag? What’s in it?

Who is Champuru?
Aloha, I'm Donna, known everywhere on the Internet as "Champuru." I was born and raised in Hawaii. I'm a Christian. I'm married to my best friend of 18 years, we struggled with infertility and successfully conceived via IVF (and by the grace of God!) in 2008. I resigned from my coveted "secure" government job to be a work-at-home mom to my 3-year-old daughter. Using my degree in Information Technology and the skills obtained in the marketplace, I started my own business. Now, I work from home, taking clients on a part-time basis, working in my PJ's while the little one sleeps. Life isn't always easy, but it's all good.

Hi Donna! My current “diaper bag” is a tan and pink DAKINE backpack that I purchased 4 years before baby was born. It is so comfortable and, yes, alot of convenient pockets and compartments. DAKINE makes good bags. My husband used to run Island Snow in Ala Moana, that’s where I purchased it.
