Joyce and Kyle welcomed their beautiful twins into the world on Friday, February 12, 2010 — and I had the pleasure of visiting them in the hospital today.
The room was buzzing with activity during my visit. A nurse came for a blood draw, a technician came to conduct hearing screens, the pediatrician did an examination of the babies, the Our365 Photographer arrived for a photo shoot, and on top of all that, Joyce’s lunch arrived.
It was a serendipity that the photographer’s visit coincided with mine, since I was able to piggyback on a few of her shots. I was careful not to get in her way and only took shots while she was busy doing adjusting her camera, reviewing the photos on her LCD screen, or posing the other baby.

I am beyond thrilled for Joyce and Kyle. These long-awaited babies will be such a blessed addition to their family.

I had the opportunity to carry the darling little boy, and even helped change him out of his fancy clothes back into his cozy hospital attire after the photo shoot. I had completely forgotten how tiny newborn babies are and how fragile they feel in your arms. Their soft, little cries and peaceful sleeping faces tugged at my heartstrings. Talk about getting baby fever again. It almost makes me want to endure IVF again. Almost.

Actually, I’m perfectly content with the size of our family. Sweet Baby Champuru completes our little family just perfectly!
She is waiting anxiously for her first playdate with the twins!
