(l to r) Kory, me, Bari, Shari
When I’m with them, I feel young(er) again. We’re silly and we laugh loudly. Friends since grade school, the four of us have grown up together and have many memories and shared experiences to reminisce over.

Talk has turned to marriage, children, and mortgages. Conversations always flow easily and there’s rarely a silent moment between us. Calendars are packed with activity and we seldom have the opportunity to get-together, so we’re playing catch up with each other’s lives. Shari, Bari, and I are on Facebook and Twitter, so we’re a little more connected. We spent a lot of time convincing Kory that she needs to step into the 21st century and jump on the social networking bandwagon.

More than once, we mentioned how we must make time to connect more often. Not just online, but in-person. It’s not easy finding lifelong friends and it would be a shame to let these friendships slip out of my life.

The girls will likely kill me for posting this, but I couldn’t resist. Seems like just yesterday…

No killing from me! I love it! Thanks Donna! Yep thanks to technology we remain connected!
Aww what a sweet entry! Really enjoying the old high school photos!
Thanks for the blog post!
I won’t kill u either lol
Hi,
I have been reading your blog for a while now and I dig how you are down to earth and unashamed to let yourself be out there.
I just wanted to tell you that I have three friends that I have known since grade school, there were four, but one passed away. We are all 62 years old and still hang out and do things together. Like you and your girlfriends we talk about old times, how are lives have been and about are marriages, divorces, medical problems, whatever. Whenever I read or hear about friends that have known one another since small kid time I always hope that it will be like the friendship I have with my small kid friends, still going strong.
Always find the time to get together for this is the best kind of friendship, long enduring forever friendship. You may not see one other for sometime due to family or business but when you do it’s like it was yesterday that you saw one another.
So keep on writing and keep on keeping on, especially with your friends.
LOVE the hair girls! LOVE IT! Go 80’s!
Bari/Shari: Glad you’re not mad about the pics.
I’ll have to go through my old photos to see if I can find some from earlier ones! i.e., elementary school!
Chelsea: Thanks! Seeing the photos makes me want to put on some Bon Jovi and Def Leppard!
Dennis: Thanks for commenting and for the kind words about my blog. Your story about friendship really touched me and strengthened my resolve to keep in touch with my childhood buddies.
Mahealani: Hey, girl! We miss you. Yep, we were rocking the big hair back then. And just for the record, that was the early 90’s.
I have to say, girlfriends are the best. THE best. Husbands and boyfriends are great too, but GIRLFRIENDS are the best. They just love you no matter what.
Ooops! Sorry about the 80’s! Didn’t mean to age you. I think Bari and I had the same look for awhile!
