We’re back after four days and three nights in Waikiki for our first family staycation where we celebrated my birthday, took in the Okinawan festival, and enjoyed a few of the many great things Waikiki has to offer. It was the most enjoyable and memorable birthday weekend to date. It was a time for Hubby and I to reconnect — and a weekend of new experiences for Baby Champuru. In case you missed it, I posted some highlights along the way to my moblog at Posterous via my trusty iPhone.

Packing so much fun into a single weekend is hard work and I’m totally spent. I’m heading off to bed early tonight.
Tomorrow, Baby Champuru has an appointment with Hawaii’s most talented child and family photographer, Lisa Hoang, at Windwardskies Photography. She took my maternity photos and Baby Champuru’s newborn pictures. We’re also planning to do a cake smash for the shoot, so hopefully I can find some really cute cupcakes at Safeway tomorrow morning.
