“Gray hair is a crown of splendor; it is attained by a righteous life.”
~ Proverbs 16:31
As I was flat-ironing my hair this morning, I discovered yet another gray hair. That makes three that I’ve discovered so far. Who knows how many others are lurking in there that I haven’t found yet.
Two of the offending grays have been in the sections of regrowth where I lost hair thanks to post-pregnancy hormones. This one, however, is a long silver strand near the back of my head. I am doing my best to refrain from pulling it out. I mean, who knows whether that old wives’ tale about plucking one gray hair and two more cropping up to replace it could be true? Likely not, but I don’t want to take a chance.
Although I’d like to blame my newly gray hairs on Baby Champuru, if I am honest, I really can’t. She’s a great baby, truly a joy. Get back to me in about 13 years and ask me again who’s to blame for the graying of my mane.
