Baby’s first pair of shoes

Baby Champuru

Baby Champuru holds up her first pair of shoes!

For Baby Champuru’s nine month birthday, she got her first pair of shoes!

Although baby shoes are super cute, I didn’t think they were absolutely necessary since Baby Champuru wasn’t using her feet for much else besides acting as the occasional chew toy.  When she would go out, I’d slip on a pair of socks or an adorable pair of bunny slippers for her.  Now that Baby Champuru is getting quite proficient at cruising (standing and walking while holding on to furniture, walls, etc.), I thought it was time to get her first pair of shoes.  After all, who knows when she will take off and start running?  I figure it’s any day now.

We went to Ohana Daze, our favorite baby store in the Mililani Town Center.  They carried Robeez and Pediped soft-soled baby shoes.  Both brands were about the same price ($27-$29), but Hubby liked how stylish the Pedipeds looked.   We purchased the Pediped Isabella, chocolate brown with pink stitching.

Now the girl has cuter shoes than me.  And, in addition to her toes, she can also use her shoes as a teething toy.  (Kidding, of course.)
