For all she knew, Baby Champuru was the only pint-sized person on earth. Until Thursday, the smallest person she’s met was her six year old cousin Linkin. Then walked in 19 month old Jada and Baby Champuru was instantly fascinated with this adorable little girl who shared her toys and baby rice crackers with her.
Friday, we picnicked at Moanalua Gardens. Hubby and I picked up two Mahi plate lunches from Zippy’s and spread out a big blanket on the grass under the large, shady banyans. There, Baby Champuru met two boys and two girls. The boys (21 months and 4 years old) belonged to Lisa and the girls (same age as the boys) were Tess‘. As you can imagine, they were all running circles around Baby Champuru, who is still working on standing and cruising. But what impressed me was four year old, T, the mature little man who sat and patiently played with Baby Champuru, allowing her to play with his Thomas the Train wallet and amber bead necklace. He was so careful and gentle with her, it was just precious.
Ah, the beginning of Baby Champuru’s social life… Next thing I know, she’ll be asking me for the keys to my car so she can go hang out at the mall with her friends to check out boys. *shuddering*
