Glad to hear all checked out. My wife suddenly began bleeding at about four months. We didn't trust the book and called the on-call OB, and at her recommendation made a midnight beeline to the ER. Long story short, it all turned out fine, but there were some long and anxious hours waiting for the results. (The geek side of you will appreciate that the hospital emailed the ultrasound to an on-call OB in another state for analysis within an hour, rather than waiting 'til morning for someone to come on duty.)

You're already a great mommy!

"She kept clicking a switch and I started to get worried. Was she having a hard time finding the heartbeat? She must’ve saw the alarmed look on my face because she said, “it’s not you, it’s this machine. I can’t even get it to turn on.”

This had me laughing out loud. I'll bet the doctor and nurse do that to everyone just to give the patients some comic relief. They high-fived each other and put a mark on the doorsill when you left!
