My latest visit to the OB/GYN on Monday lasted all of 5 minutes.
On my previous visit, I gave 6 vials of blood and a urine sample for my prenatal panel. On Monday, the doc told me that everything looks good and my blood type is A+. (Can you imagine, all these years I never knew what my blood type was?) She checked the fetal heartbeat with the doppler again and seemed pleased by my growing abdomen, to which she commented, “your uterus looks like it’s growing nicely!” Good news all around and “see you back in four weeks.”
I’m looking forward to my next visit to the specialist on April 11 when I get another ultrasound and the doc will happen a guess at the gender of the baby. Ultrasounds are always exciting, being able to peek through and see the baby is simply amazing. Unfortunately, Hubby is on the Big Island for the next couple of weeks for work, so he’s going to miss this appointment. At least the doc is really good about providing ultrasound pictures — and even saving the images to a CD for us, which means more photos for the blog, too!
