My brain is having a midlife crisis

After reading my previous blog entry, a gracious friend offered to let me use her Nintendo DS Lite on a long-term loan and and said that I could return it when I gave birth, because surely I would have no time for fun and games once the baby arrives. Of course, I took her up on the generous offer. I figured that there was a good chance that I may simply tire of the new toy like she did or would find that I don’t have time to play with it once life starts getting busy. Borrowing it is the perfect solution for me right now. If I find that I can’t live without my ten minutes of daily brain training, I can invest in my own unit.
The nice thing is that she’s on the same wave length as me, which is educational games! The games that she let me borrow along with the DS are:
Brain Age
Brain Age 2
Big Brain Academy
Brain Boost
Sudoku
Polarium
Uno
I probably won’t find myself playing with the last two as much, but all those great brain stimulating games are just what I need! After checking my brain age, it’s obvious that I am in need of some serious brain training.

I wouldn’t mind playing uno…hehe
I’m a pretty big fan of the NDS lite too. Although there’s a bunch of RPGs that I’d love to play (but don’t have time to), I find that I mostly use my DS as a kanji dictionary (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kanji_Sonomama_Rakubiki_Jiten). I’ve used it much more than most of the electric dictionaries I’ve owned from Canon. Have fun with it!
HA! I know how you feel! Brain Age completely insulted me. And here I thought I was smart lol. It’s a fun thing to do, though. Have you ever played Wii sports? I took the fitness test and consistently end up in the fitness age of 60’s. Urgh.
I’ve heard a lot of positive things about Brainage, but I’ve never gotten the chance to place it. Don’t worry, being pregnant results in some pretty large hormonal changes in your body (as you know) so you’re allowed to have a high brain age for the next 7 months.
