From bed, I observe the world with my ears. The laundry being tossed round and round, zippers and buttons clinking and clanking in the dryer. The neighbor’s country music blaring from next door. Hubby closes the door and remedies that problem. The sound of a car driving away to some fun and exciting destination – or perhaps just to buy milk at the grocery store. The wind rustling my vertical blinds as a cool breeze wafts through my bedroom.
Being still, without distractions or diversions, is refreshing. I have determined that I should take a day of bed rest now and then for myself.
