I’m writing this from my iPod Touch, which is fantastic and frustrating all at the same time. It’s awesome because I can still retain my connection to the online world from the comfort of my bed, yet the touchscreen keyboard is hard to use if you have fat fingers like mine.
So, they transferred the embyros at 12:30 pm today in a small operating room in the basement of Kapiolani Hospital. With dimmed lights to create the ambience, I lay there with my feet in stirrups as a lab technician handed the doctor a catheter connected to a syringe that contained our precious snowflakes. The procedure was over before I knew it. Perhaps the worst part of it all was the 30 minute rest period following the transfer suffering with a full bladder.
So all there is to do now is rest and wait. And pray for the four little embryos in my womb.
