Toothy Dreams

In last night’s dream…

A natural disaster had just occurred, I believe it was an earthquake. I was in junior high and teachers were rushing around and gathering students and putting them on buses.

For some reason, I had my NiteGuard mouthpiece in my mouth. It felt funny in my mouth. I pulled it out and found that the mouthpiece was in pieces and two of my bottom teeth were loose. Apparently, in a moment of terror, I had ground my mouthpiece to bits with my teeth. I pulled a compact mirror out of my school bag and peered into my open mouth. With my finger, I touched one of my loose teeth and noticed that it was on the verge of falling out.

While everyone else was in a virtual panic about the earthquake, I was more concerned about my teeth and getting to a dentist asap.

…and then I woke up. Twenty years had passed, but the good news is that I still had all my teeth.

Apparently dreams about teeth are quite common according to this website. While I don’t put much credence in the interpretations given in that site and others (as they are mostly unfavorable), I was pretty amused by last night’s nocturnal revelation.

Christmas Greetings

Santa Tobi

With three hours left of Christmas 2007, I’d like to wish all of you a very merry Christmas. I hope all your Christmas wishes came true.

In all of the hustle and bustle of the holidays, I pray that we’ll also remember the reason for the season, the birth of Jesus Christ. May He bless you and your family this Christmas and in the new year.
