Shopping – Day One

Ala Moana Shopping Center
Ala Moana Shopping Center

I dragged Hubby to Ala Moana Shopping Center today to start our Christmas shopping. In the six hours that we were there, we managed to get a few gifts for others and a few for ourselves. Even hiding behind my camera lens, Rod managed to recognize me! It was nice to see him and his wife, as well as meet his daughter. (Rod, see you at the mall again on Black Friday??)

Side note: I meant to do a vlog entry today. I even recorded an intro, but just was too excited about all the SHOPPING (!) to record much else. Even the photo above isn’t anything special — but it’s the only one I took (just before Rod caught me to said “hi”).

We spent nearly two hours in Sephora. (Even though I only wear pressed powder and lipstick regularly, I adore Sephora and can spend hours in there.) I picked up the Double Rich Hot Cocoa 3-in-1 shampoo, bath, and shower gel by Philosophy for myself and I am now officially spoiled. I don’t think I could go back to body wash from Longs Drugs anymore. Too bad the Hot Cocoa is a seasonal item. The scent of chocolate rising in the steam of a hot shower is delectable! I’m totally going back to Sephora (soon!) to pick up the Cinnamon Buns shimmer body lotion. Yes, I can be girlie sometimes, too. Not often, but sometimes.

Shari will find this tidbit amusing: I was also stoked to find my favorite Jockey undies at Macy’s. My old ones (bought from the Jockey store in Waikele before they closed) were literally ready to fall apart. I bought 2 packages! Yay for cotton bikini undies!

A long, but productive day at the mall. Hubby is a blast to shop with and he never gets grouchy being at the mall for hours like some men might — as long as we make sure he gets a matcha bubble tea on the way out. Knowing this would be a long one, he actually got a coffee boba on the way in — and a green tea on the way out. I love days like this. There’s nothing better than spending the day with the Hubs — especially at the mall. ;)

    Hey Donna!

I was great to bump into you at the mall too. Normally I split up from my wife and daughter and head out on my own looking at men stuff (gadgets) while my wife and daughter look at the girlie things. Cell phones are great, aren’t they?
I had just met up with my wife and we were heading to the bench to rest and wait for my daughter when we saw someone snapping a picture – so we paused to let the photographer finish taking the picture. Lo and behold, behind the camera was you!
It was nice meet you and your hubby again.

See me at the mall again on Black Friday? You bet! My daughter wants a laptop so I told her we’ll wait for Black Friday when Apple has it’s one and only sale of the year. (btw, she’s paying for it)(in case she’s reading this))

Probably be at CompUSA on Thanksgiving night too!
“it’s the most wonderful time of the year…”
