Dot-Com Days

Proud as a peacock

This afternoon, our Bible study leader called Hubby and asked him to lead tonight’s group since he was tied up at a meeting. Always willing to help, Hubby accepted the challenge on short notice and started preparing as soon as he hung up the receiver. Hubby is a pretty reserved, quiet guy. Public speaking isn’t something he particularly enjoys, but he is one who can definitely rise to the occasion when necessary. Tonight was no exception.

He led the study like it was old hat to him, imparting wisdom and insight that impressed even me. Seeing how much he has grown over the past 16 years that we’ve been together amazes me and makes me realize just how much I really love this man.

I was so proud of him tonight.

Got the Date

Well, tentatively.

The doctor’s office called and left me a voicemail. My frozen embryo transfer is tentatively scheduled for January 4, 2008.

Now that I have a date, it seems more real to me now and I’ve decided to get serious about taking care of my body and preparing it for the big day. That means stopping caffeine, eating better, and getting some regular exercise. And, doing a lot more praying — for our snowflakes (frozen embryos), my body, and for God’s will.
