A fun vlog entry
One thing that I have learned from Shari is that you can’t take life too seriously. When things don’t work out the way you planned, work with what you have and make your own enjoyment. Today was no exception.
Here’s our fun-filled vlog entry, which, simply in the making of it, made the day a much better one.
Hope you enjoy watching as much as we enjoyed making it. ![]()

Whee! Of course, now my kids want to go and play with Auntie Donna and Auntie Shari! Let us know the next time you can come out to play…
I did that here, but I burned my legs because the plastic was hot!!! I don’t think I’ll be going down any slides for awhile after that lesson.
What park is that?
Bummer there’s no swings anymore…
Looks like fun! “When things don’t work out the way you planned, work with what you have and make your own enjoyment.” How true! Today our Cub Scouts joined other Cubs and Boy Scouts for the annual Good Turn at Punchbowl Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. I was all set to take video this year and managed to record a few scenes outside of the park before lunch. Then my handycam’s lens cover got stuck… Bummers but it was a great day, the boys had a blast and they learned something about respect for those who served for their country. Cheers and Happy Memorial Day!
now that’s a great way to relieve stress …act like kids!! what fun with a good friend at that!!
Fantastic! I love lemonade.
what should you do if life gives you crap?
totally enjoyed your vlog. brings back memories of small kid time…no worries…no cares…just have fun!
Ryan: Sounds like tons of fun! Next time we plan for some playground stress relief, we’ll give you a call!
Christopher Luna: The plastic was a little hot, but not Okinawa hot. We managed to play unscathed.
Ryan S: It’s Launani Valley Community Park. There are some swings further down in the walking path, though!
Mark from Hawaii: Did you manage to get your lens cover unstuck? Hope you had a nice day anyway!
Lindy: Absolutely! Good food is a good stress reliever, too.
Richie: Lemonade is fantastic! I must remember that when I’m tempted to let the lemons make me feek sour.
mitchell: Now that’s a tough question… “What should you do if life gives you crap?” I’ll have to think about that one. Maybe another vlog entry to answer? haha
susan: Thanks for the comment! I remember, my elders always used to tell me, “enjoy your childhood, it’s the best years of your life.” I never believed them, but now I do! How nice to be carefree.
