Who is Champuru?

Aloha, I'm Donna, known everywhere on the Internet as "Champuru." I'm a Christian, blissfully wedded to my perfect match (the yang to my yin) of 15 years and a stay-at-home mom to my miracle baby, born in October 2008. Living life in Hawaii, less than 5 miles from my hometown, seeking balance in her pursuit of family, faith, recreation, and rest. Read more on the About page.

Last entry with tubes

This will be my last entry with my fallopian tubes in tact. After today, no tubes, no ovarian cysts. Hopefully, the doctor will do a good job of preparing a nice, cozy environment for a baby to live and grow for 9 months.

I haven’t eaten since 1:00 pm yesterday and haven’t drank anything since midnight. Amazingly, I’m not as hungry as I thought I would be, but I am getting a little thirsty. Must keep my mind off of liquids…

Luckily, my bowel shut itself off when I went to sleep last night, but it seems that the magnesium citrate has not made it way completely out of my system yet. As soon as I awakened this morning, it was back on the can. I just hope everything will be cleared out before we have to drive to the hospital — which is about a 30-40 minute drive, depending on traffic.

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for your thoughts, prayers, comments, and e-mails of support. This is the beginning of a long road ahead, but it’s all in God’s hands, so I am confident that everything will work out for the best.

Depending on my condition, and if the hospital allows me to use my laptop, I may be blogging from the hospital. If not, there will be updates when I return home.

See you on the flip side!
