Extra Protein

Extra Protein
One of the hazards of eating out.

This is typically not the kind of thing you want to see seasoning your macaroni salad. Unfortunately, I had already eaten most of my lunch by this time — although, thankfully, not much of the salad, since it was a tad too mayonnaisey for me.

The discovery of the loose appendage prompted me to wonder what happened to the rest of it and gave me a sick feeling, knowing that there was a good possibility that I had already ingested other roach bits. Blech.

On the bright side: All I need to do to motivate myself to prepare a home lunch is to view this picture at full resolution.

:D Admittedly, this goes to show me that I have come a long way since the days when the very sight of that would have made me literally “lose my lunch.” Although the momentary thought of having eaten other roach parts gave me a fleeting wave of queasiness, I managed to choke it down and find the amusement in the situation and grab my camera to memorialize the event.

Shari: 99 Ranch Market food court. I think the place was called 99 Local Mix Plate or something like that. I have to admit that the Grilled Garlic Ahi with brown rice was the bomb, though.

Wow. Incredibly… That little roach leg is like in your face! I will add that to one of the extra reasons why I should pack my lunch from home!
Oh, and I know this is posted on the wrong blog entry… But good luck with everything in the next few months - year!
Will be praying for you! :)
