Sleepy

Hubby, always disgustingly chipper in the morning, tried unsuccessfully to rouse me from sleep so that we could make it to our 9:00 am Karate class. Unfortunately, dreams of work haunted my slumber all night and I awakened exhausted as if I had put in a full eight hours at the office. I slowly emerged from beneath the sheets and crawled away from my tormentor in slow motion. Amused by this sight, Hubby remarked, “Look! It’s an Okinawan three-toed sloth!”
Grr.
Needless to say, I sent Hubby away to attend karate by himself this morning. Once in a while I want the luxury of not having to be startled into wakefulness by my alarm clock, to allow myself to sleep until I can sleep no more.
At the same time, I always get that guilty feeling when I sleep too long. Since I have little free time these days, spending too much time unconscious seems like a terrible waste.
I ended up waking up about three minutes after Hubby drove away, around 8:45. So much for sleeping in.
Oh, the great paradox of Saturday mornings.

I love that pic of your sleepy doggie!
I can relate. Not to the tortured dreams of work, encroaching on my slumber, but of being torn between the idea of being able to get up when I simply stop being tired and the feeling that if I do, I’d be wasting a perfectly good day.
But, sometimes, it would be nice to be able to roll out of bed at the crack of noon….
Here’s hoping your night visions turn to things more pleasant!
that happens to me often..haha..
wanting to sleep in but once i wake,i end up lying there just thinking and daydreaming.. -_-
Ok here is the deal-i-o on getting restfull sleep. Trust me, this works everytime, no matter if you only have a few hours to sleep. The power of suggestion. Right before you go to sleep, think to yourself and believe it…that you will have a restfull sleep and feel great in the morning. The key is…you have to believe it. I have done this on only a couple hours of sleep and don’t feel tired in the morning. it does catch up to you during the day, but still…better than feeling so “sloth like” first thing when you wake up.
Try it and let me know!!
three toed sloth bwaaahahahah
that’s a good one
