Wouldn’t you know it? After writing that entry about the Sephora lady last night, I woke up to find a zit on my chin this morning. I guess I should’ve bought the dang blemish extractor after all. Grr.

"Champuru" is an Okinawan stir fry dish, literally meaning a "mixture." In a figurative sense, it's similar to what locals would call "chop suey." A whole bunch of stuff, tossed in, mixed up to create a unique flavor. She selected this pseudonym years ago, mainly to relate to her Okinawan culture, but also felt that it was an appropriate way to describe her appreciation of many different cultures and interests. -
Hey, I woke up with a chin zit, too. Although the thought of extracting it with an actual implement makes me wince. I’ll just stick with the zit cream.
And for what it’s worth, I totally understand about your high tweezer standards. Because if you settle for any less than perfect, then you inevitably wind up with some shoddy model where the tips don’t line up, and you get a hand cramp trying to compensate.
