Growing Like Weeds
Tonight we celebrated the birthdays of two of Hubby’s nephews: Ryan and Linkin. It’s hard to believe that Ryan is already 19 — and Linkin is now 3 years old! You can certainly see the passage of time when you stop to notice how quickly the kids have grown, right before your eyes.
Ryan was only 5 years old when Hubby and I started dating. Now he’s a young man!
I guess we better start thinking about trying to have kids soon — at least before Linkin turns 19! Egads.
As a side note, I love this photo of Linkin. Clad in his Spidey suit, muscles included, his face became serious as if telling us that he would not take his superhero duties lightly. At 3, he understands “with great power comes great responsibility.”
When did Halloween costumes get to be so elaborate? Complete with muscles and sound effect-emitting gloves, he makes a very convincing Spider-man. Heck, when I was a kid I had a plastic mask that made me feel like I was suffocating and an ill-fitting, glorified garbage bag to wear for Trick-or-Treating. (The only costume that I actually remember was “Woody Woodpecker.”) My, how times have changed.
A 30-something Christian girl, blissfully wedded to her perfect match (the yang to her yin) of 14 years. Living life in Hawaii, less than 5 miles from her hometown, a slave to her mortgage payment, but seeking balance in her pursuit of family, faith, recreation, and rest.
Wow! Belated Happy Birthdays to Ryan and Linkin! I love Spiderman! I love the suit! Where did he get it. I sure want to get it for Antonio’s 1st Birthday! Of course me wearing it and coming out singing the Spiderman Song! It’s his favorite song that I sing to him from when he was a BABE! Then again…they probably wouldn’t have my size. AAwwwwww. LOL

The suit was purchased at Wal-mart. They also have Batman, Power Rangers and a host of others. You’d have a blast looking for a cute little costume for Antonio.
