Hazardous Working Conditions
Okay, maybe not “hazardous” per se, but definitely stinky.
This afternoon, we donned masks for a short period while a burning ballast in the building was located and replaced. It never fails, whenever a flourescent light goes on the fritz, it’s always in a location where our A/C duct can suck up the fumes and pipe it directly into our office.
Today, instead of evacuating to the cafeteria, which isn’t necessarily a bad idea, we found some dust masks (leftover from the Anthrax scare) and wore them. Wearing a mask in an office environment can make for interesting conversation starters — and of course, photo ops.
A 30-something Christian girl, blissfully wedded to her perfect match (the yang to her yin) of 14 years. Living life in Hawaii, less than 5 miles from her hometown, a slave to her mortgage payment, but seeking balance in her pursuit of family, faith, recreation, and rest.
