Breath Mint?

Breath mint, anyone?
This morning I found an Altoids tin on my desk. A subtle hint, perhaps?
Upon closer inspection, I noticed:

Is your Altoids tin equipped with a USB port?
I open the cover and discover:

Curiously strong mints?
My uber-handy co-worker Bryant had stumbled across instructions on how to kludge an Altoids chewing gum tin into a portable battery pack to charge my iPod Shuffle. (Google keywords “ipod altoids” and you’ll get a ton of results.)

How convenient. All of my fetishes served in one neat little package. I love mint tins, iPods = sexy tech, and I think homemade gadgets are the coolest things. Needless to say, this made my day.
AND, I can keep my iPod Shuffle charged on the go — even when I won’t have access to a computer for an extended period of time. Have 9-volt, will travel — with tunes!
Who is Champuru?
Aloha, I'm Donna, known everywhere on the Internet as "Champuru." I was born and raised in Hawaii. I'm a Christian. I'm married to my best friend of 18 years, we struggled with infertility and successfully conceived via IVF (and by the grace of God!) in 2008. I resigned from my coveted "secure" government job to be a work-at-home mom to my 3-year-old daughter. Using my degree in Information Technology and the skills obtained in the marketplace, I started my own business. Now, I work from home, taking clients on a part-time basis, working in my PJ's while the little one sleeps. Life isn't always easy, but it's all good.
